Mesopotamia is a great restaurant to try out if you’re in the mood for something a little adventurous and different. It is the first Kurdish restaurant in Cape Town. Expect the whole experience immersed in the kurd culture, sitting on the floor, listening to folk music, reading about kurd history, enjoying belly dancing and hubbly bubbly.
The menu boasts of delicious traditional kurdish cuisine. There is a huge selection of mezes and mains mainly incorporating lamb, chicken and vegetables. I would definitely recommend the suggested menu at R320 for two. This menu allows you to sample different mezes, six different mains and a traditional dessert.

It was absolutely divine and perfect for a food lover who isn’t acquainted with this type of food. All in all we really enjoyed this dining experience. It was definitely something unique and worth a second, third and fourth visit!
